V-REFLEXTM LifeStyle Reflective Material - CORDURA NYLON Reflective Fabrics are designed for use on variety of application, such as motorcycle clothing, winter jacket, athletic and casual wear. When properly used, Cordura Nylon reflective fabrics help enhance the visibility of the wearer in nighttime or low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source such as headlights, by returning the light back toward the original source and reaching the automobile driver’s eye.
V-REFLEXTM LifeStyle Reflective Material - Cordura Nylon Reflective Fabrics were primarily designed for producing motorcycle clothing,wind breaker, backpack and other outdoor gears which are often presented at night and low light conditions, to enhance wearer’s visibility and safety.
What is retro-reflective material Retroreflective material are characterized by the ability to redirect light incident on the material back toward the originating light source. This property has led to the wide-spread used of retro-reflective material for a variety of traffic and personal safety uses. Reflective fabric is commonly employed in a variety of articles. For example, safety vest, safety coverall, occupational apparel, athletic and casual wear.

Washing/Cleaning conditions harsher than those recommended below could diminish the brilliance of the fabric and shorten the product’s lifetime significantly. The following instructions therefor must be strictly followed.
•No presoaking
•No application of high alkaline products (e.g. heavy-duty product or stain removal products)
•No application of solvenated detergents or micro-emulsions.
•No additional bleaches.
Wash temperature higher than 60oC and industrial laundering processes are not recommended. The use of bleach or detergents containing organic solvent will result in a reduction in retro-reflective performance. Use of temperature lower than 40oC will increase the lifetime of the reflective fabric.Actual lifetime will be dependent upon the detergent system and its dosage level.

While use of V-REFLEXTM LifeStyle Spandex Reflective Fabric enhances visibility, no reflective material can guarantee absolute visibility, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Performance will vary depending upon actual use, exposure conditions and maintenance.
We recommend that all customers, in accordance with good manufacturing practices, establish an ongoing quality system which includes maintaining lot/roll identification throughout the garment production process. Customer should also store input materials and final products in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, as well as implement continuous testing throughout their production and on their finished garments that reflects their garment needs. For lamination operations, customers should periodically check their equipment to ensure that the temperature set point matches the platen or roll temperature and that the temperature is uniform across the lamination area.

V-REFLEX LifeStyle Reflective Fabrics create comfortable, fitted garments, so they are an excellent choice for many sewing projects. However, reflective fabrics can be difficult to work with because they are so flexible, and most of reflective fabrics are also slippery. To ensure that you get the best possible results when sewing reflective fabrics, choose an appropriate sewing machine needle, select settings meant for reflective fabric on your sewing machine, and use some special techniques for working with reflective fabric.
For best results, apply reflective material – fabrics to recommended fabric weights. 100% polyester thread is recommended for sewing reflective material - fabric. Use appropriate thread for desired applications. For the best results, sew in place using a lockstitch and with no more than 12 stitches per inch (2.54 cm), and not less than 5/64" (2 mm) from the edge of the reflective fabric.
