V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material - Flame Resistant Retro-Reflective Tape/Trim is designed for use on flame resistant, and arc flash resistant safety garments.
V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material - Reflective Tape/Trim is composed of wide angle, exposed silver color retro-reflective lenses seamlessly integration in the middle of a high visible fluorescent lime-yellow or fluorescent orange layer, bonding to a durable inherent flame resistant textile fabric or fire treated cotton textile fabric.
By intregrating function of high visbility and high retro-reflectivity on the same surface seamlessly, this series of FR reflective tape conform to mutiple national standards for many types of safety garment, especially fire fighting garment.
When properly used, V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material - Flame Resistant Retro-Reflective Tape/Trim help enhance the visibility of the wearer in nighttime or low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source such as headlights, by returning the light back toward the original source and reaching the automobile driver's eye. The high visible (fluorescent) parts on the surface of retr-reflective tape give off fluorescent looking in the daytime to help wearers standing out of the working places.
Glass bead reflective technology is over 60 years old. In a glass bead reflective system, light strikes the back surface of the bead and returns to its source. Glass bead technology differs from microprismatic technology in that reflective glass beads vary in size and placement, therefore creating inconsistency in the reflectivity. This technology returns light by as much as 30% unless affected by heavy rainfall that causes the reflective optics to scatter the light rather than reflect to the source causing blackouts of the reflective material until it dries again.

Washing/Cleaning conditions harsher than those recommended below could diminish the brilliance of the fabric and shorten the product’s lifetime significantly. The following instructions therefor must be strictly followed.
• No presoaking
• No application of high alkaline products (e.g. heavy-duty product or stain removal products)
• No application of solvenated detergents or micro-emulsions.
• No additional bleaches.
V-REFLEXTM Reflective Material - Retro-Reflective Fabric/Tape meets or exceeds the following specifications as noted. All RA values are over 100 cd/lux/m2 measured at +5.0° entrance angle and 0.2° observation angle after tests are carried out according to following test method

• Note: Use very sharp cutting knives only and cut from the reflective side.
Sewing For the best results, sew in place using a lockstitch and with no more than 12 stitches per inch (2.54 cm), and not less than 5/64” (2 mm) from the edge of the reflective fabric.
• Recommend light/medium weight of reflective material applying to light and medium weight fabrics. Medium/Heavy weight of reflective material applying to medium/heavy weight fabrics.
Printing Prior to printing, wiping the surface with a soft cloth lightly dampened with isopropyl alcohol may help ink adhesion. Printed areas will not be retro-reflective.
